Tottenham Hotspur fans will be delighted to know that their influential Argentine winger Erik Lamela has had a successful operation on his injured hip after being unavailable for Mauricio Pochettino since October.
Lamela's last appearance for Spurs came against Liverpool back in October 2016, in the club's 2-1 EFL Cup defeat at Anfield.

Spurs haven't necessarily missed Lamela during his lengthy spell on the sidelines, although the news of his successful operation will certainly be well-received at the club.
On his day, he's a pleasure to watch, and hopefully it won't be too long until we witness another 'rabona' or two.

Spurs are currently tailing Antonio Conte's Chelsea in second in the Premier League standings, and it's starting to hot-up at the top of the table.
The gap was closed from ten points to seven after the Blues lost at home to Crystal Palace 2-1, while Tottenham managed to capitalise on the uncharacteristic slip from Conte's men with a 2-0 win against Burnley at Turf Moor - Eric Dier and Son Heung-Min provided the pivotal goals in the second-half for Spurs.
