Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta is reportedly closing in on a move to West Ham, and could sign a two-year deal with the London side in the summer.
That is according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, who tweeted as much on Thursday.
Zabaleta will be out of contract at the end of the season, as will Bacary Sagna, and the Hammers are thought to be very keen on signing the veteran Argentine before other clubs begin circling.
Slaven Bilic is reportedly planning a squad overhaul for the summer, and aims to sign the 32-year-old as a solution for his niggling right-back problem.
City boss Pep Guardiola is said to be bracing himself for a huge exodus himself, as he also has an overhaul planned, and we could see a flurry of talent move to the Etihad at the end of the season.
The Spaniard seemed well on his way to conquering England in his first campaign at the beginning of his City career, but has since been humbled by the challenges of the Premier League.
The signings of Leroy Sane, John Stones, Nolito and Claudio Bravo haven't been enough to keep the club as competitive as Guardiola would like. And he is now aiming to splash the cash in order to get his squad punching at the required level.
