Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has added to speculation about Patrice Evra's potential return to Old Trafford after hinting at the move on Instagram.
The two players were teammates at United for several years and formed part of the side that won endless Premier League titles, not to mention the Champions League crown back in 2008.
Both players left the club back in 2014 and though Ferdinand retired from the game just two years later, Evra continues to play at the highest level with current Serie A champions Juventus.
The Frenchman has recently been linked with a shock move back to his former side, as manager Jose Mourinho looks to shore up his defence in the January transfer window.
And those rumours of Evra's possible return have only increased after Ferdinand posted a picture of the two together on his Instagram page and wrote: "Throwing it out there.... Patrice Evra I'm hearing thru social media u coming home bro?!? Talk to me!"
Whilst the move may seem unlikely considering Evra is now aged 35, it would be foolish to rule out the left-back's return to Old Trafford and it would undoubtedly be one of the biggest stories of the transfer window, which is now open until the end of the month.
