While many were glued to the TV screen for the Heisman Trophy presentation, there was another football winner announcing their presence.

The MLS Cup was played in frigid Toronto, and boy did it live up to the name. 120 minutes wasn't enough to decide this one, as both teams were held scoreless despite many chances.

Despite a ruckus crowd surrounding them, the Seattle Sounders have won MLS Cup. It took until the final round of the penalty shootout, but the Sounders sent Toronto FC fans home unhappy in dramatic fashion.

What a performance this was from the Sounders. Their goalkeeper Stefan Frei came up with one big save after another.

None was as big as this key stop on Jozy Altidore in the second half of extra time.

Roman Torres was able to strike home the final penalty, and send Seattle into a frenzy.

Considering the slow start Seattle got off to at the beginning of their campaign, no MLS fan could've seen this turnaround coming.

Congrats, Seattle Sounders FC. What a season it's been.
