Sky Sports claim that Roberto Firmino and Joel Matip will be fit to face Bournemouth, in Liverpool's Sunday clash with the south coast side.

Both players missed Tuesday night's 2-0 EFL Cup win over Leeds as a precaution, but look set to be ready in time for the weekend. Firmino missed the game with a minor calf problem while the game came too soon for Joel Matip who was also carrying a knock.

Liverpool go into the game with Bournemouth in an incredibly rich vein of form, which has seen them win eight of their last ten Premier League games. The Reds currently sit second, just a point behind league-leaders Chelsea.

However, Liverpool will be without their creative midfielder in Philippe Coutinho, after Jurgen Klopp revealed he will no longer feature this calendar year after picking up an ankle injury in a clash with Sunderland's Didier N'Dong on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp told BBC Radio 5 Live via Liverpool's website before the game with Leeds, “Phil needs between five and a few weeks until we have him back. We will see. He is not in for tonight and for the next few games.”

Coutinho joins the injured Adam Lallana on the injury list, although Lallana is close to making a return to full team training following the groin injury he picked up while playing for England.

Daniel Sturridge has also missed the last two games after he reported tightness in his calf muscle.

Liverpool travel to Bournemouth on Sunday lunchtime looking to keep the pressure up on league leaders Chelsea.
