Besiktas Star Ricardo Quaresma Refutes Rumours About His Teardrop Tattoos
Portuguese winger, Ricardo Quaresma, has hit back at rumours that his teardrop tattoos represent a broken relationship with his brother.
The former Porto star was thought to be the heir to Cristiano Ronadlo's thrown many years ago but has failed to live up this billing.
He currently plays for Turkish outfit Besiktas and finally appears to be settling into club football, after a tumultuous career that has seen him play for seven separate clubs.
Whilst he is known for his flashy tricks with the ball, Quaresma is also recognised by his seemingly endless amount of tattoos, and one in particular has recently caused a stir.
Reports in the Portuguese press had suggested that the teardrops that have been tattooed below his right eye, represent a broken relationship with his brother.
Tabloid paper, Correio da Manha, suggested that the pair had fallen out as a result of Quaresma's brother stealing money from a restaurant the two siblings owned.
However the Besiktas star has denied the story, claiming on his Instagram page that his "brother has never misappropriated a penny" from him.
Sadly, the 33-year-old does not explain the actual meaning behind the tattoos, which means that no one is any the wiser as to what they truly represent, but Quaresma remains adamant it is nothing to do with his sibling.
