FC Dallas and New York City FC have been two of the best teams in MLS this season. Both sit near the top of their respective conferences, and both seem poised to have deep playoff runs in the coming months.
It also happens to be the best game in MLS this upcoming weekend. It will be an open game between two attacking-minded sides, and soccer fans all over the world are not going to miss it. There are several reasons why this is a must-see event during the upcoming weekend.
First we have the position of both sides in the standings. FC Dallas is currently in first place of both the Western Conference and the Supporter Shield race (51 points), but New York City FC is no slouch either. They sit second in the East with 44 points, and they are currently riding a five-game winning streak at home, the best one in franchise's history.
Dallas has enough weapons to pull the upset, though. Mauro Diaz and Michael Barrios are two of the most dynamic players in the league, and Maxi Urruti is deadly when given space in the final third.
New York City FC has their own fair share of dominant players, though. David Villa is one of the best strikers in the league (sitting second in the MLS Golden Boot Race with 17 goals) and there's also Frank Lampard.

The former Chelsea midfielder is on pace to have one of the best shooting percentages in the league, as he currently spots a 37,5% conversion rate.
As if that wasn't enough, both NYCFC and Dallas sit in the Top 3 in shots this season (143 and 147, respectively) and Oscar Pareja's side is coming off the clinch of the US Open Cup on Tuesday against New England Revolution.
It's going to be a star-studded game between two attacking-minded sides. It's going to be a pleasure to watch for fans all over the world!
