Liverpool are set to continue their summer spending by adding a new left-back to their squad with PSV's Jetro Willems in mind, according to Soccer News.
The Merseyside club confirmed the signing of Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle on Friday for £25m, and are now set to make a £11m move for Wijnaldum's national teammate Willems.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is rumoured to be in the market for a left-back, as Brad Smith's transfer to Bournemouth nears completion.
Alberto Moreno was Liverpool's first-choice left-back last season, but the Spaniard's performances were less than impressive.
Leicester City's Ben Chilwell had been linked with a move to Anfield but has since entered negotiations with the Premier League champions over a new contract.
FC Koln defender Jonas Hector, who starred at Euro 2016 in France for Germany, has also attracted Liverpool's interest.
However, it appears the 2016 Europa League finalists have switched their attention from the pair to Willems.
The 22-year-old is believed to be open to a move, while PSV manager Phillip Cocu recently said his team would be able to cope should Willems depart.
If the Netherlands international joins Liverpool, he will link-up with a host of new signings including Liverpool's latest acquisition Wijnaldum.
The Reds have already signed Loris Karius, Joel Matip, Sadio Mane and former Arsenal goalkeeper Alex Manninger.
Marko Grujic has also returned from his loan spell at Red Star Belgrade and has been hugely influential in Liverpool's opening pre-season fixtures.
