Week 19 in MLS had several games throughout the week, and some players managed to separate themselves from the rest due to their performances. Here we present you the best three players in MLS over the past seven days.
3. Thomas McNamara - New York City FC
David Villa, Jack Harrison and Frank Lampard get all the attention over New York City FC's performance in the past month, but Thomas McNamara's play can't be forgotten either. The winger assisted in two of NYC's three goals against the Montreal Impact the past weekend. He's tallied eight during the year, and leads the team in that department.
2. Fabian Castillo - FC Dallas
Fabián Castillo has been on fire of late, and the Colombian proved it again this weekend with an incredible assist against the Chicago Fire, as evidenced in the video above. The winger is a key part of FC Dallas' attack and several pundits already believe he needs to be included in the Colombian National Team for the upcoming international fixtures.
1. Diego Valeri - Portland Timbers
Diego Valeri has been heavily criticized due to his inconsistent play of late, but he re-discovered his old form with an impressive effort against the Seattle Sounders. The former Lanus star scored twice in what's arguably the biggest rivalry game in MLS, and he carried the team on his back in the biggest game of the season. His impressive play made him the best player in the league this past weekend.
