VIDEO: Top 10 Goals in MLS Week 19

Week 19 in MLS had some spectacular goals from start to finish, and some of the best goals this year were scored in the past seven days. There were games on Wednesday and throughout the weekend, so the amount of goals to choose was incredibly high.

Unfortunately, only 10 goals cracked our weekly ranking. Which goal was chosen at the top of our rankings?

10. Columbus Crew vs Toronto FC: Harrison Afful (CLB, 54')

Harrison Afful is one of the best attacking fullbacks in the league, and even though he's not known for being a scoring threat, he can contribute with assists on any given match. He's one of the most important players in Columbus Crew and he left a mark against Toronto FC, Following a corner kick that was cleared away by the defense, Afful unleashed a volley that found the back of the net and left the keeper unable to react.

9. Orlando City SC vs New York Red Bulls: Connor Lade (NY, 37')

Connor Lade scored for the first time in his career, and he couldn't have picked a more beautiful goal to be his first one. After a corner kick from the left side of the pitch was cleared away by the defense, Lade came out of nowhere to strike a left-footed bomb straight into the upper left corner.

8. Portland Timbers vs Seattle Sounders: Diego Valeri (POR, 44')

This is the first out of two Diego Valeri goals that snuck into this week's rankings. The Argentinian playmaker was at his best for the Portland Timbers on Sunday, contributing with two goals in his team's sounding win over Seattle. The first goal was a thing of beauty, as the former Lanus star started an attack on the left side of the pitch, left a couple of defenders behind and placed a finesse shot out of the keeper's reach.

7. Montreal Impact vs Portland Timbers: Pablo Piatti (MTL, 44')

Pablo Piatti has been one of the best players in MLS this season, and he keeps showing on a weekly basis just how important he is for the Impact. The Argentinian playmaker impressed once again in Wednesday's game against the Portland Timbers, when he decided to leave a couple defenders behind before placing the ball out of the keeper's reach. As evidenced in the clip above, he's unstoppable when going at full speed on the open field.

6. FC Dallas vs Chicago Fire: Mauro Diaz (DAL, 41')

Just like Piatti, Mauro Diaz continues to show on a weekly basis why he's one of the best attacking midfielders in MLS. The former River Plate star is the engine of FC Dallas' attacking line, and he showcased his talent against the Chicago Fire with a spectacular goal. Diaz took advantage of a short pass from Michael Barrios to place a strong right-footed bomb straight into the upper 90.

5. Montreal Impact vs New York City FC: Jack Harrison (NYC, 45+2')

Rookie sensation Jack Harrison keeps improving week after week, and he remains one of the best players on one of the hottest teams in the league: New York City FC. The 19-year-old phenom sliced through the defense and scored a great goal against the Montreal Impact, placing a curling effort out of Evan Bush's reach and straight into his bottom right corner.

4. Colorado Rapids vs Sporting Kansas City: Marlon Hairston (COL, 78')

Marlon Hairston isn't a household name by any means, but he's been one of the best players for the Colorado Rapids this past month. The attacking midfielder has been a huge threat for the Rapids of late, and left his mark this weekend against Sporting Kansas City when he scored with a great long-range shot. His finesse shot found the back of the net beautifully, and the keeper's attempt to stop the shot made the goal even better.

3. Portland Timbers vs Seattle Sounders: Diego Valeri (POR, 50')

As we promised, Valeri appears in the ranking for the second time with another marvellous strike. This time, the Argentinian received the ball on the right side of the box, snuck his way past a defender and unleashed a fierce bomb out of the keeper's reach. What's even more impressive about this goal is the fact that Valeri almost had no angle to shoot.

2. Vancouver Whitecaps vs Real Salt Lake: Cristian Techera (VAN, 37')

Cristián Techera is one of the quickest players in MLS, but he isn't the most accurate when it comes to passing or shooting. He combined accuracy, pace and strength in this goal, however, as he took advantage of a short pass to unleashed a 30-yard-bomb that went straight into the back of the net. It could've easily been the goal of the week on any given day, but ...

1. FC Dallas vs Chicago Fire: Maxi Urruti (DAL, 23')

...no goal could top Maxi Urruti's goal for FC Dallas against Chicago. Even though the Argentinian forward only headed the ball past the keeper from a relatively close range, the previous play was one of the most brilliant displays we've ever seen in MLS history. Fabian Castillo left three defenders behind before sending a spectacular, out-of-this-wold rabona assist that led to Urruti's goal. Without a doubt, this was the goal of the week and possibly one of the best of the year.
