PEC Zwolle have signed AC Milan wonderkid Hachim Mastour on a season-long loan deal.
Mastour, who was signed by AC Milan from Reggiana at the age of 14 for €0.5m, spent last season on loan with La Liga side Malaga.
The 18-year-old was originally meant to spend two seasons at the Spanish club, but Malaga decided against keeping on Mastour after a disappointing 2015/16 campaign where he only managed to make one appearance against Real Betis.
Mastour will now be hoping he can kick-start his career at Eredivisie outfit PEC Zwolle.
The Moroccan was close to becoming AC Milan's youngest ever player to feature in Serie A after being promoted to the club's first-team by Clarence Seedorf and making the bench for the final game of the 2013/14 season.
Despite Mastour's unsuccessful loan spell with Malaga, he is still regarded as an incredible talent and in 2014 (quoted on TheSPORTBible) AC Milan's under-19s coach Omar Danesi said:
"It is impossible to take the ball from Hachim, He can run at breakneck speed. He has grown so much this year, especially in his work with the rest of the team.
"He is very young and there is a lot of scope for improvement. For the talent he has he is definitely a player to play at the San Siro [for Milan]. But he is very young and should be allowed to grow with calmness."
Mastour made his international debut last year for Morocco in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Libya.
