4 Must-Watch Games in MLS Week 18

MLS Week 17 is already in the books. Week 18 is set to commence Friday with a thrilling encounter, followed by seven matches on Saturday and two more during Sunday. With interesting games all across the country, here we present must-watch games for this upcoming weekend. The top spot in our ranking is a game no fan will want to miss!

4. Real Salt Lake vs. Montreal Impact

Both teams are third in their respective conferences, and both are six points behind the top spot. Even though both teams have a shot to move closer to the top with a win, the main reason why this ranks among the week's best matches is due to the way both clubs play. Montreal and Real Salt Lake are, undoubtedly, two of the most heavily-attacking teams in the league. Juan Manuel Martinez and Ignacio Piatti will go head to head trying to lead their side to a win.

3. New York Red Bulls vs. Portland Timbers

The New York Red Bulls are in the midst of a three-game winless streak, and they need to improve their play to keep themselves near the top of the Eastern Conference. They'll have a tough opponent in the Portland Timbers, as Diego Valeri and Fanendo Adi's side hasn't lost in the last six matches.

2. Sporting Kansas City vs. New York City FC

Can anyone stop NYCFC? Led by Jack Harrison and David Villa, New York climbed to the top of the Eastern Conference thanks to four consecutive wins, and they'll look to keep the streak going against Sporting Kansas City. SKC can't be taken for granted, however, since they are a top-six team in the West, and have enough talent to unsettle New York's shaky defensive line.

1. Seattle Sounders vs. Los Angeles Galaxy

Two of the most star-studded teams in MLS will face each other on Saturday, and it's going to be the biggest match of the weekend without a doubt. The Galaxy are fourth in the Western Conference and the Sounders are ninth, but their position in the standings is almost irrelevant. The main reason why this is a must-watch game is because both teams will face each other in the US Open Cup quarterfinals later this month, so Saturday's contest will be an authentic chess match no fan will want to miss.
