Tottenham Hotspur have launched a scouting mission for Sporting Lisbon's Algerian striker Islam Slimani.
It is estimated that a fee of around £23m will be enough to bring the forward to North London, but Spurs will have to fend off interest from Leicester City and Everton, who are both also keen on the 27-year old.
Silmani has enjoyed a prolific season for Sporting, scoring 18 goals and grabbing 4 assists over 24 games. His fine form has sparked interest from a wide range of European clubs, including Tottenham who are seeking cover for Harry Kane.
Spurs followed Islam Slimani in 2013 but a potential transfer failed to materialise, 3 years on and they're in for him again after hearing news of the striker's release clause, which means a bid of £23m must be accepted by Sporting.
Tottenham are flying high in the Premier League this season, they are 5 points behind Leicester City in second place with just 9 league games left to play. Could it be Tottenham's year to win their first Premier League trophy for 55 years?
