Watford have signed Sunderland goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon for an undisclosed fee.
The 6ft 8 shot-stopper has agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Vicarage Road, having been dislodged by England Under-21 international Jordan Pickford on Wearside.
Previously, Pantilimon had been a regular at the Stadium of Light, after arriving from Manchester City in the summer of 2014.
The Romania international played 49 times for Sunderland in total, and will compete with Heurelho Gomes for the Hornets' No.1 spot.
Pantilimon becomes Watford's second signing of the January window, after Malaga attacking midfielder Nordin Amrabat.
According to reports on Tuesday, the pair could shortly be joined by Liverpool teenager Jerome Sinclair, whose contract expires in the summer.
The former England Under-19 striker is rumoured to be on a number of clubs' wanted lists, including Manchester City and Spanish side Espanyol.
Watford made an impressive start to life back in the top flight, but have lost their last four league matches on the bounce.
Despite this, they remain relatively comfortable in 12th position - eight points clear of the bottom three.
