14:22: Klopp Lifts Lid On Transfers

Liverpool v Manchester United - Premier League

Jurgen Klopp has revealed he has the final say on transfers in and out of Liverpool, but does admit he needs to gain permission from the club's transfer committee to pull off big money moves.

He used the example of Zlatan Ibrahimovic today, according to the Guardian, saying: "Yes. But does anybody have the final say?

"For example, say I wanted to take Zlatan Ibrahimovic and we have to pay £100m plus a big contract at 35, I think I would have to ask first.

“Yes. It’s how I am used to work. If I don’t want a player to come to the club he will not come. It’s normal.”

11:21: Well, That Was Short-Lived

A-League Rd 11 - Central Coast v Brisbane

Manchester City's new signing Anthony Caceres has been sent out on loan to sister club Melbourne City for the rest of the A-League season, and it's caused a bit of a stir down under.

City signed him from Central Coast Mariners, but A-League clubs aren't allowed to transfer players between them. And City's move for Caceres seems to just be a smart little loophole.

Sydney FC chief executive Tony Pignata tweeted: "The loaning of Caceres to City is wrong."

10:38: But Someone's NOT Leaving...

Manchester City v Sunderland - Premier League

Toure's City and international teammate Wilfried Bony, though, is not going anywhere. And that's come from his agent. What a nice fellow, not ramping up the pressure to try and earn some more cash monies from elsewhere.

Anyway, Francis Kacou said"Wilfried will stay at Manchester City. They are all just rumours. A departure this winter was never on the agenda, and City simply wouldn't sell him."

10:16: FFS, This Again?

Yaya Toure's agent is being a pain in the arse again. Dimitri Seluk says his client could leave the club in the summer - like we haven't heard that before.

Seluk, talking on SportItalia, said: “He will not move in January. However in the summer things can change. We are ready to listen to any offers that are on the table.”

Hold on to your hats. Jermaine Pennant has put the endless speculation over his future to bed and completed his move to Singapore side Tampines Rovers, becoming the highest-paid player in the league's history.

He's taking home £19k-a-month, which ain't too bad really is it? And "doesn't look at it as a lesser league, it's just another chapter in my career."

Alright mate.

How long the Spaniard remains at Old Trafford is anyone's guess, but there's contingency plans in place just incase Real Madrid worm out of the transfer ban that's been thrust upon them.

09:12: Could It Happen?! Could It?!

Arsenal's Ivoryan midfielder Emmanuel Eb

With Debuchy off to Villa, could that open the door for Emmanuel Eboue to make his triumphant return to Arsenal? He certainly hopes so. The Mail report he's not too happy at Galatasaray at the moment, and a space at full back seems to be opening up...

He said: "We (Eboue and his agent) are looking for options, but I'd love to come back to Arsenal."
