Chelsea are considering Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as a contender to succeed star man Eden Hazard, who has been linked with a big money move to Real Madrid.

The Belgium wizard has been touted as Los Blancos next 'galactico' signing, with the future of Cristiano Ronaldo uncertain, and The Sun believe the Bernabeu could be Hazard's next destination.

With Chelsea looking unlikely to make Europa League qualification, forget about Champions League, Hazard could be tempted more than ever to depart Stamford Bridge for a team competing for honours across the board.

England v Belgium - International Friendly

If the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain come in for him, then Chelsea officials will be keen to replace him with a young prospect with potential, and Arsenal man Oxlade-Chamberlain is already being lined up as someone who fits that bill.

Oxlade-Chamberlain hasn't been an automatic starter since joining the North Londoners in 2011, and has often found himself being rotated with Theo Walcott, and this season Joel Campbell.

This might make it much easier to persuade Arsene Wenger to part with the Englishman. With new home grown rules coming into play in both the Premier League and Champions League, Chelsea will know that signing more talented countrymen will be important, and see the former Southampton player as an English player with huge potential.
