Norwich City have signed Portuguese right-back Ivo Pinto from Dinamo Zagreb for an undisclosed fee, subject to paperwork.
Pinto, who began his career at FC Porto and later played for Rio Ave and CFR Cluj, has agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Canaries.
The 26-year-old has been capped by his country at under-21 level and was called up to Fernando Santos' senior squad in November 2014 but failed to make an appearance.
He also boasts Champions League experience, notably playing against Arsenal in this season's competition.
Pinto told Norwich's official site: "I'm very excited to come here and play for a big club in the Premier League.
"I'm looking forward to starting work to help the team achieve their goals."
City boss Alex Neil added: "Ivo has had Champions League experience this season, playing against Arsenal and Bayern Munich where he did very well.
"He’s a Portuguese Under-21 international and at only 26 has his best years ahead of him. He is an athletic and good defender and will bring us options at the back."
Pinto is the Canaries' first signing of the January window and will compete with Steven Whittaker and Andre Wisdom for a first team place.
