Which Premier League club is trying to sign Paul Pogba this month? What is the latest on Manchester City's growing interest in Leroy Sane? Could Watford striker Odion Ighalo be on the move? And who is the 'New Ronaldo' Manchester United are reportedly close to signing?

Learn the answers to these questions and more in today's roundup of Premier League transfer rumours...

Everton to Delay Norwich Move for Naismith

Everton v Manchester United - Premier League

Steven Naismith looks all set to leave Everton and join Norwich when the transfer window formally opens tomorrow, but the Toffees are reportedly reconsidering the timing and may not let it happen just yet.

According to the Times, Everton manager Roberto Martinez wants to delay the decision on the Scottish international forward until mid-January when the club's fixture list is less congested. Only then might the planned £8m move to Norfolk go ahead.

Watford's Ighalo Rejects Bumper Move

Watford v Liverpool - Premier League

Odion Ighalo enjoyed an absolutely incredible year in 2015, scoring 30 times in the Championship and Premier League over the course of the calendar year. Needless to say, everyone expects him to move in January, but it almost certainly won't be to Spain.

According to a report by the Sun, Ighalo has already twice rejected a very lucrative 'double- your-money' offer from Atletico Madrid. Premier League clubs have apparently spoken to the Nigerian's agent as well and if he goes anywhere at all it's more than likely he'll stay in England.

Baggies Still Refusing to Budge on Berahino

West Brom managed to keep hold of Saido Berahino against all the odds over the summer despite the persistent bidding from Tottenham and it looks as though they'll do exactly the same again in January.

Discussing the 22-year-old striker's future, boss Tony Pulis is quoted by the Guardian as saying, "I was asked that question two windows ago and I said exactly the same. The club would love to keep him."

Austin Features on Palace January Wishlist

Queens Park Rangers v Dundee United - Pre Season Friendly

Perhaps the only thing Crystal Palace lack at the moment is a clinical striker. However, that could all change if reports linking the Eagles with a January swoop for QPR front-man Charlie Austin are to be believed.

According to the Daily Express, the 26-year-old is high on Alan Pardew's wishlist. The manager even discussed his efforts to sign a new striker this week, commenting, "We have been making telephone enquiries all week before the transfer window opens and we are under pressure to get in another striker."

Tottenham Still Linked With Dembele Deal

Fulham v Sheffield United - Capital One Cup Second Round

Tottenham already have one Mousa Dembele, but the rumours continue to surface that they want to add Moussa Demebele to the squad as well. Because that won't get confusing...

After weeks worth of stories about the Fulham striker and the interest from White Hart Lane, Sky Sports have finally got in on the act and have revealed that 'sources' are saying that Spurs have expressed interest. Manchester United is another rumoured possible destination.

West Ham Eye Renewed Zaza Approach

Juventus FC v Frosinone Calcio - Serie A

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic recently commented that no new business will be done in January unless the opportunity presents itself. One that may tick that box is a renewed approach for Juventus forward Simone Zaza.

The Hammers were linked with the Italian international during the summer and a report originating from Gazzetta dello Sport claims there is interest in a possible loan deal now with a view to a permanent £13m deal at the end of the season.

Manchester City Warned Off Sane

Germany U21 v Austria U21 - 2017 UEFA European U21 Championships Qualifier

Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that Manchester City are not really looking to do January business, but that won't stop the rumours. To that end, Schalke youngster Leroy Sane is claimed to be a target.

It will be very tough to get the German club to sell, though, and the Daily Mail has revealed that City have been warned that even they don't have the money that will prompt a sale.

Ilori to Arrive Back at Liverpool Early

Portugal v Denmark - U21 Friendly

Poor Tiago Ilori just cannot seem to catch a break it seems. A loan move to Aston Villa was supposed to be his chance to prove himself in the Premier League and show he still has a future at Liverpool, but now it's ending in disaster.

According to a report by the Daily Telegraph, Ilori is set to have his loan cut short and will arrive back at Anfield without making a single appearance. It is said that Villa want the space in their squad for other signings, while one can't imagine that Ilori will be in Jurgen Klopp's first-team plans any time soon.

Vardy and Mahrez Going Nowhere

West Bromwich Albion v Leicester City - Premier League

Get ready for disappointment, fans of Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal and anyone else who has been linked with moves for either of high flying Leicester duo Jamie Vardy or Riyad Mahrez - they're going nowhere.

"Nobody goes from Leicester," Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri is quoted as saying by the Daily Express. "They have said we want to stay and fight until the end and build with me and the chairman and our fans a big Leicester. We are a solid team and we want to continue together with everybody."

Chelsea Linked With Audacious Club Record Deal

FC Juventus v Torino FC - TIM Cup

Chelsea's midfield, while the strength that their 2014/15 title winning campaign was built on, has been the one of the major issue for the reigning Premier League champions. The solution? Throw a massive amount of money at it.

Apparently a club record 87m move for Paul Pogba is on the cards. If you ignore that it's notorious Spanish gossip peddler Fichajes.net making the claim about a French player, an Italian club and an English club, you might get excited for a minute...and then quickly come back down to earth.

Arsenal Target Passes Medical Ahead of Move

It's a fairly safe bet that Arsene Wenger won't be moving mountains to bring in multiple marquee signings in January, but the proposed £7m signing of rising Basel star Mohamed Elneny just screams Arsenal.

According to the Daily Star, the Egyptian midfielder has already passed a medical, although the process of getting the 23-year-old a work permit might not be quite so straightforward. New FA rules on non-EU players could somewhat hinder the Gunners, but it is said that Elneny is highly likely to get all the paperwork he needs on appeal.

Manchester United Close to Securing 'New Ronaldo'

You're Portuguese, you've got pace and skills, therefore you must be the second coming of Cristiano Ronaldo. And that, of course, means Manchester United are said to be leading the chase.

Shoot claims that United are 'closing in' on the signing of 19-year-old Benfica winger Goncalo Guedes, who has apparently been the subject of several scouting trips in recent months. At least this one sounds infinitely more likely than the ridiculous Nico Gaitan saga.

In other United transfer news, football writer Graeme Bailey has claimed that a deal for Lazio's Brazilian play-maker Felipe Anderson is also 'close' and could be one of the very first confirmed January deals. That would certainly make some waves...
