According to Daily Star, Liverpool FC have held talks with 21 year old Copenhagen defender Daniel Amartey for a possible move in January.
The Ghanaian starlet is available for just £4.7m due to a release clause that was inserted in his contract when he joined Copenhagen from Djurgardens in 2014.
Daniel Amartey revealed last month that Liverpool have spoken to him about a move.
“I have been in contact with the Liverpool management,” he said.
“I hope we can sort a transfer out – it’s a great club to play for.”
Amartey has been regularly deployed by the Danish Superliga leaders in central defence this season, although he is equally at home playing further up the pitch in central midfield which would increase Liverpool’s options.
his agent has confirmed Amartey is keen on making a move to a major European league in January.
“Many top established European clubs are interested in him,” Hasan Cetinkaya said.
