Roma face a trip to Stadio Sao Paolo and a game against Napoli on Sunday on the back of five games without a win. Roma have only managed to find the back of their opponents net on four occasions in those five game. With Head Coach Rudi Garcia bemoaning his club's lack of options up ahead of the crucial Serie A clash with Napoli.
The winless run for Roma has seen them drop to fourth in the Serie A table. They lie five points behind leaders Inter and are three points behind Napoli going into the game between the two. A defeat against Napoli could see Roma drop further down the table especially with resurgent Juventus breathing down their necks.
Roma's poor run of form has coincided with the absence of Mohammad Salah and Gervinho. Salah was injured in Roma's Derby win against Lazio on November 4, Roma's last win. While Gervinho has been missing recently after suffering a thigh strain. Salah made a return from the bench against BATE Borisov on Wednesday night and is available again, Gervinho was set to start that match but had to pull out after the warm up.
It comes down to the fact that this isn't the same side that began the season, in that we have fewer options up front,"
The same guys are playing every game at the moment
This is what Roma coach Rudi Garcia had to say to the media after Wednesday's draw in the Champions League with BATE Borisov about results for Roma recently and their lack of attacking options.
Meanwhile Napoli will be looking to get back to winning ways in Serie A following last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Bologna. Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuaín will be looking to score in his ninth consecutive home game for Napoli.
