10. Dario Conca

The career of Dario Conca will not be remembered for his on-pitch achievements, but rather for crazy signings. In 2011, the Argentine footballer signed a two-year contract with Guangzhou Evergrande coming to earn £26m, collecting a humble £10.6m per season. This year, however, Conca moved to Shanghai SIPG and earns £197,000 per week, or £10.2m per season.

Back from a very difficult period of injury, Falcao has not yet managed to return to his pre-injury prowess, but the former Monaco and Atletico ace can take comfort in his very respectable salary. The Colombian earned an astronomical £265,000 per week at Manchester United, taking more than a 50% pay cut to join Premier League rivals Chelsea.
