There is unlikely to be a dry eye in Anfield this Sunday as Liverpool host Wolverhampton Wanderers in Jurgen Klopp's final match in charge of the club.

Liverpool supporters have known this day was coming for several months after Klopp announced his decision to step aside in late January, but it's unlikely to sink in until the full-time whistle at Anfield this weekend. While the Reds having nothing left to play for after a difficult period, motivation will be high to send the German manager off with a victory befitting of his legendary status.

Fortunately for Klopp, he has the majority of his first-team stars at his disposal ahead of selecting his final Liverpool lineup. There will, of course, be room for some of his most incredible performers over recent years, with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Alisson and Mohamed Salah all bidding an emotional farewell to their boss.

Here is how Liverpool could line up on the final day of the Premier League season.

GK: Alisson - A huge part of Liverpool's success during the Klopp era, the Brazilian has been busier than he would have expected in recent weeks. He made a crucial stop to deny Aston Villa a winner in stoppage time during Monday's 3-3 draw.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold - Now facing a surprisingly uncertain future at Anfield given his contract situation and Real Madrid's interest, Liverpool's right-back is preparing for life with a first-team coach that isn't Klopp for the first time in his career.

CB: Jarell Quansah - A mixed display against Villa but he still produced his first Premier League goal with a great header. Seems to have jumped ahead of Ibrahima Konate in the pecking order, although that may well change next season.

CB: Virgil van Dijk - Liverpool's skipper has not been at his best by his own lofty standards in recent weeks, but to suggest that the Dutchman is the cause of his side's defensive woes would be madness.

LB: Andy Robertson - The Scotsman was missing against Villa but should return from a minor setback this Sunday. He scored in the reverse fixture at Molineux and against Wolves on the final day of the 2021/22 season at Anfield.

CM: Harvey Elliott - Grabbed another assist against Villa and created Liverpool's opener - with a helping hand from Emiliano Martinez. He's been in excellent form lately and also forced an own goal against Wolves earlier this season.

CM: Wataru Endo - Far from his best against Villa, Endo didn't do enough to protect the back four from some speedy forwards and midfielders. However, Liverpool were even more open when he came off the pitch, going on to concede two late strikes.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister - Despite his error that handed Villa a route back into the match last time out, Mac Allister remains a guaranteed starter for the Reds. He will be among the candidates for the club's Player of the Season award.

RW: Mohamed Salah - The Egyptian has been one of the most transformative figures of the Klopp era with his constant stream of goals. He has netted five against Sunday's opponents, four of which have come at Anfield.

ST: Cody Gakpo - The Dutchman has saved his best form for the recent weeks and has now scored in successive games following his tap-in at Villa Park. He has 22 goal contributions so far this term - not a bad tally for someone considered Liverpool's fifth-choice attacker back in August.

LW: Luis Diaz - A wasteful display from Diaz at Villa Park proved frustrating given Liverpool's late collapse. Could Sunday be the winger's final game at Anfield amid speculation over his future?
