Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Angel Di Maria has opened up on the club's failure to win the Champions League title so far, revealing that he would give the 17 trophies he has won in Paris in order to win the European honour.
Di Maria who joined PSG from Manchester United in 2015 has so far won 17 domestic trophies at the French capital, but is yet to taste success in Europe and he reveals that he would be very disappointed if he leaves the club without the Champions League honour.
"I would give up my 17 trophies to win the Champions League with PSG. We're not far away. Sometimes you don't need to have a great Champions League [to win it]. To leave PSG without having won it would be very tough," he told Telefoot as quoted by Marca.
The Argentinian is playing alongside his fellow countryman and record six-time Ballon d'Or award winner, Lionel Messi at the club - something which he is very happy about.
"It's one of the things I missed: playing with Leo at a club. From the day he started until today, he has always been the best player in the world and he will continue to be so. What he does on the pitch, nobody else does."
The 33-year-old has been brilliant for the French giants in his seven years with them so far, scoring 88 goals and providing innumerable assists in 270 appearances for them.
