Fans might have noticed Gavi playing for FC Barcelona with his boots unlaced.
Well, it has come to light that the 17-year-old actually doesn't know how to tie laces, which is why he just let's them be as they are.
Gavi is one of the brightest young talents in football right now and many fans couldn't help but notice his laces falling apart when he is impressing on the pitch.
However, an answer has now come to light.
"Gavi has been playing with his laces untied since he was very young, it’s because he doesn’t know how to tie them well,” Spanish journalist Marc Marba Prats revealed on Twitter.
“He doesn’t care and he plays like that."
Recently, Gavi's La Masia teammate Nico Gonzalez made fun of Gavi as he posted a picture of the player trying to tie his shoe laces.
Gonzalez posted the picture alongside a caption which, when translated, read: "Time to learn…”
Well, the issue with laces has certainly not prevented Gavi from coming up with incredible performances.
He is considered to have a bright future and it has been reported by Fabrizio Romano that Barcelona are reportedly ready to offer him a new five-year deal with wage increments every season.
Furthermore, there is a release clause of €50m (£42.6m) in his current contract, which will be scrapped in the new contract offer.
It is obvious why Barcelona are trying so hard to tie their brightest young talent down to a long-term deal as European giants like Liverpool, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have started to show keen interest in the Spaniard.
