The most successful UEFA Champions League club of all time, Real Madrid will enter the group stage draw that will take place on Thursday in Istanbul, Turkey.

Los Blancos managed to reach the semi-final of the competition in the 2020-21 season, but lost out to eventual competition winners Chelsea.

Today we take a look at all the probable scenarios for Real Madrid's group stage opponents ahead of the Champions League draw on Thursday.

Here's a look at all the pots:

Pot 1: Chelsea, Villarreal, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Lille, Sporting Libson, Manchester City

Pot 2:Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, PSG, Liverpool, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund

Pot 3: FC Porto, Ajax, RB Leipzig, Atalanta, Zenit, Benfica

Pot 4: Club Brugge, Young Boys, AC Milan, Malmo, Wolfsburg.

While some teams are yet to be confirmed, Real Madrid will be facing any teams from Pot 4.

Pot 3 or 4 TBC: Besiktas, Dynamo Kyiv, RB Salzburg/Brondby, Monaco/Shakhtar Donetsk, Dinamo Zagreb/ Sheriff Tiraspol

Who can Real Madrid draw in their group?

From Pot 1, Madrid cannot be drawn against Villarreal or Atletico as teams from the same league are prohibited to be potted against in the group stage of the Champions League.

This means that Los Blancos will face one of Chelsea, Manchester City, Bayern, Inter, Lille or Sporting from Pot 1 for sure.

As for Pot 2, Madrid themselves are seeded in this pot so they won't be facing any of the teams from in there.

While two teams are yet to be confirmed from Pot 3 and three teams yet to be confirmed from Pot 4, Real Madrid will be able to face any of the teams from both these pots.
