UEFA countries' World Cup qualification groups have been completed and we have 10 group winners who will quality directly to the tournament in Qatar next year.

Now it is time to look forward to the 12 teams that will fight it out for the last three European spots for the World Cup with some big teams on the roster.


When is the World Cup playoff draw for European countries?

The draw for the European playoffs for the World Cup will take place on Friday November 26 in Zurich at 21:30 hrs (9:30pm) Indian Standard Time.


Which European teams will form part of the World Cup playoffs?

The final list of these teams will be decided next week.

Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark and Serbia have definitely qualified for the World Cup as group winners.

Portugal are now confirmed in the playoffs along with Italy, Sweden, Russia, Austria, Scotland, Czech Republic, Wales, Poland, Ukraine, Turkey and North Macedonia

Switzerland, Finland, Norway, Netherlands, England and Romania are yet to confirm their berth in their final round of games.


Dates of the playoff games?

After the draw on the coming November 26, the playoff semi-finals will take place on March 24 and 25, 2022. All of the teams qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar will be decided on March 29 after which teams will begin their preparations for the World Cup in the winter of 2022.
