Twitter thread explains why Manchester United need to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

A fan has taken to social media to put together a thread on Twitter explaining why Manchester United need to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer has now been in charge of the Red Devils for four seasons and is now starting his fifth, but is yet to win any silverware. United have made some incredible signings this summer, bringing in Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, and Raphael Varane, and Solskjaer will be expected to challenge for top honours this season.
However, the club have had a few shaky weeks, losing to Aston Villa in the Premier League, West Ham in the Carabao Cup, and Young Boys in the Champions League.
And a Twitter thread posted by @htomanutd has gone viral for his detailed analysis on why United need to sack Solskjaer immediately.
Why Ole Gunnar Solskjær isn’t good enough for Manchester United.

Simply titled: "Why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn't good enough for Manchester United", the thread is a scathing attack on the Norwegian's tactics and coaching methods.
So here are all the things I believe absolutely 100% need to change at Manchester United either under Ole Gunnar Solskjær (which they won’t because he hasn’t changed in 3 years) or need to change under the next manager. pic.twitter.com/ZTGXwGs5Fe

We concede far too many counter-attacking chances, despite having a fast backline & employing a set-piece coach. We look vulnerable from counters off our own set pieces, which is down to the lack of coaching of defensive transitions. Something even Ole knows... pic.twitter.com/1koETg4Xnx

3. We don’t have a midfield/refuse to play a deep midfielder with ability on the ball, favouring energy over ability;

Keep an eye on the quickness in which VDB and Matic move the ball, the scanning and the advanced passing is what the midfielders of Manchester Utd need. pic.twitter.com/4klMthnRrM
Another point to make on McFred is that they're not DMs therefore they don't have the natural instinct of showing for the ball in midfield areas between lines, often playing in the opposition striker's shadow. Leaving our CBs to go direct and ultimately losing possession. pic.twitter.com/a27ytJecJc

5. Patterns of play
— h (@htomanutd) October 4, 2021
There are no patterns in ANY of the phases of our build-up, it’s all off the cuff and individually brilliant. Which at this ELITE level, is nowhere near good enough. We don't create the same chance twice.
Chance creation is abysmal, just look at xG. pic.twitter.com/On9UmRN4Ne
You have to create chances through wing play and wide overloads against low blocks, Chelsea, City, Liverpool, and even Arsenal all do this which is why lesser teams crumble so easily against City/Liverpool/Chelsea.

The difference in attacking structure is staggering. pic.twitter.com/NREObFTMGY
This leads to opposition usually taking the sting out of the game, regaining energy, and wasting time. Therefore no pressure can ever be built without ball retention in the midfield and pressing to win the ball back. Therefore the games often get played in 5-minute spells.

Ole is a good man-manager but refuses to employ good enough coaches and doesn’t have a good enough idea or style of how to play. It’s a mates mate club, Carrick, McKenna, Phelan. Sir Alex Ferguson was an ELITE manager but he employed ELITE level coaches when he was at Man United. pic.twitter.com/85uMySjFNI
