South American giants, Brazil and Argentina played out a nil-nil draw in their much anticipated FIFA 2022 World Cup qualifier at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario on Wednesday, 17 November.

The game failed to live up to expectations of the audience as neither side looked fluent on the pitch, despite the amount of talent of show. The match saw few chances falling for either side, but it was Brazil who arguably should have taken the lead and the winner, with Fred and Vinicius Jr failing to take the chances presented to them.

The Selecao went into the game having already qualified for the showpiece event in 2022, while the point solidifies Argentina's position in the table with Lionel Scaloni's side currently placed second with 29 points from 13 games.
