With less than a week left for the summer transfer window to shut, managers are still eying new recruits to strengthen their squads. Harry Kane has revealed he will be staying at Tottenham, leaving Manchester City still looking for a new striker.

Liverpool have already made their move in the market by signing RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate, and will be looking to bring in a few more reinforcements too. Manchester United have gone ahead and brought in Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, while many other top clubs are being linked with big names.

With that, here are the top transfer rumours of the day.

Madrid make improved bid for Mbappe

Real Madrid are reportedly set to make a third bid of €170 million for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe as they look to land the Frenchman before the transfer window shuts next week.

Los Blancos made an opening bid of €160m earlier this week which was rejected by PSG, and have returned with an increased bid, confident they will land the 22-year-old, according to Goal.

PSG turn down Ronaldo links

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has dismissed speculation that the Ligue 1 giants would be making a move for Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.

Leonardo has insisted that there are no ongoing negotiations for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner. "Ronaldo? We do not have any talks open with him," Khelaifi told reporters at the UEFA Champions League draw on Wednesday.

Dortmund want Dalot

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in signing Diogo Dalot on loan, according to Sky Sports.

The full-back returned to Manchester United following his loan spell with Milan, who are also interested in re-signing the 22-year-old for another year. However, Dortmund are hoping to win the race for Dalot, who only has two years remaining on his current contract.

Tottenham to sign Barca wonderkid Ilaix

Tottenham are reportedly leading the chase to sign Barcelona star Ilaix Moriba, according to Tuttomercato.

The 18-year-old has seen his contract renewal talks break down after refusing to agree to a new deal, and could be on his way to the Premier League.
