Kevin De Bruyne has reportedly agreed a new five-year deal with Manchester City that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2025. The new deal will also see the 29-year-old become the joint-highest paid player in the City squad alongside Raheem Sterling.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted that Dean Henderson is 'part of his plans' and wants to remain at Old Trafford, despite reports suggesting that the 23-year-old wanted a loan move away in January. Reports emerged over the weekend that Henderson is considering leaving Old Trafford on loan again in January, with his place in England's Euro squad potentially hanging in the balance. But Solskjaer was adamant that Henderson 'wants to stay' at United.

As part of our build-up to the January window, we bring to you the top transfer stories of the day. Additionally, along with the stories, we will hand out ratings to all rumours to validate their authenticity. A rating of 1 means the transfer is least likely to happen and a 10 denotes that the deal will certainly take place.

Barca shift focus from Depay

Barcelona have reportedly shifted their focus from Lyon forward Memphis Depay to Manchester City defender Eric Garcia, as reported by Goal.

Gerard Pique’s cruciate knee ligament injury has prompted Ronald Koeman to focus on bringing on a new defender in the January transfer window. Barca have tracking Garcia for some time, having failed to strike a deal earlier this year - with the Catalans unable to match Manchester City’s valuation.
