The summer transfer window is approaching fast and while the dates for the window have not been announced yet, the Premier League is slated to finish on Sunday, May 23 which may imply that the transfer window is most likely to reopen on Monday, June 1.

Top clubs across Europe are still looking to boost their squad ahead of the new season, and clear out their wage bill as well. With that in mind, here's a look at the latest transfer rumours from around the world.

Barca prepare Messi contract

Barcelona are reportedly preparing to offer Lionel Messi a new three-year contract that will keep him at Camp Nou until 2025, according to ESPN.
The 33-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has been linked with a switch away, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain eager to land the Argentine. However, if reports are to be believed, the Barca talisman is expected to extend his stay in Spain.

Liverpool agree Konate deal

Liverpool have reportedly agreed personal terms with RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate ahead of the summer transfer window, according to The Guardian.
The report claims that the Frenchman has agreed to sign a five-year contract with Jurgen Klopp's side, who will pay his £30.5m release clause to prise him away from the Bundesliga giants. Manchester United and Chelsea were two of the clubs interested in signing the player, who has made 64 Bundesliga appearances for RB Leipzig since joining in 2017.

Arsenal target Brandt

Arsenal are reportedly planning on reviving their interest in Borussia Dortmund's Julian Brandt, according to Bild.
The report claims that Mikel Arteta views the German as a replacement to Real Madrid loanee, Martin Odegaard, who could head back to Spain once his loan with the north London side ends in the summer. Arsenal are also concerned about Odegaard's asking price, and Brandt's price is more attractive to the Gunners.

Talks break down between Madrid and Ramos

Discussions over a new deal for Sergio Ramos have reportedly broken down with Real Madrid, according to AS.
The Spaniard is out of contract in the summer, and is yet to agree on a new one with Zinedine Zidane's side. Ramos has been linked with a move to a number of clubs, with Manchester United, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain all eyeing his contract situation as the transfer window approaches.
