The summer transfer window is heating up as managers eye new recruits to strengthen their squads. Harry Kane is still intent on leaving Tottenham, with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea all interested.
Real Madrid have filled their vacant managerial spot by bringing back Carlo Ancelotti, who spent the last season with Everton.
Liverpool have already made their move in the market by signing RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate, and will be looking to bring in a few more reinforcements too. United have gone ahead and brought in Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, while many other top clubs are being linked with big names.
With that, here are the top transfer rumours of the day.
City prepare final Kane bid
Manchester City are reportedly preparing one final push for Tottenham striker Harry Kane in the coming week.
According to The Telegraph, City will make another push to sign Kane in the coming days as they look to bring him in before the transfer window shuts next week. However, according to the Mirror, Tottenham aren't budging from their £150million valuation, and Levy isn't interested in accepting any City players as part of the deal.
United told to sign Vardy
Former Manchester United player Lee Sharpe has urged his old club to sign Leicester frontman Jamie Vardy before the transfer window shuts next week.
“Obviously Cavani is world-class, we know he’s not going to play every game, every minute,” he told the Mirror. “The rumour mill is still floating around about Haaland potentially coming next year so that makes you think twice about bringing someone in this summer, but if United are short anywhere, it’s in the No.9 area. “Someone like a Vardy, I don’t know if we will get Vardy, but I think he would be an ideal choice for a couple of seasons.”
Barca open to letting Umtiti leave
Barcelona are reportedly willing to let Samuel Umtiti leave the club for nothing before the transfer window closes, according to Diario Sport.
The LaLiga giants are desperate to lighten their wage books, and have received offers from Nice and Monaco for the Frenchman.
Napoli make Pjanic approach
Napoli have reportedly made an approach for Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic, according to Corriere Dello Sport.
Juventus are keen on re-signing the 31-year-old, and Barca are eager to sell Pjanic in order to reduce their overall wage bill. Napoli are looking to beat the Serie A giants and sign the 31-year-old before the transfer window closes.
