The summer transfer window is heating up as managers eye new recruits to strengthen their squads. Harry Kane is still intent on leaving Tottenham, with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea all interested.
Real Madrid have filled their vacant managerial spot by bringing back Carlo Ancelotti, who spent the last season with Everton.
Liverpool have already made their move in the market by signing RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate, and will be looking to bring in a few more reinforcements too. United have gone ahead and brought in Sancho and Varane while many other top clubs are being linked with big names.
With that, here are the top transfer rumours of the day.
Haaland could be available in January
Erling Haaland could reportedly leave Borussia Dortmund in January with his £64million release clause set to be moved forward.
Haaland's release clause was understood to have become active next summer, but according to Marca, that may no longer be the case. Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea are all interested in signing the 21-year-old, who is one of the hottest stars in Europe today.
Ancelotti dismisses Mbappe rumours
Carlo Ancelotti has claimed he does not care if Real Madrid sign Kylian Mbappe before the transfer window closes on August 31.
“I don't know if he will arrive,” he said at a press conference when asked about his side’s interest in Mbappe. I don't care what will happen. I have a very good and very strong squad. They give me a lot of happiness. I am focused on that. Let's wait these 10 days and now I am focused on the team that I have.”
Solskjaer insists United won't sell Pogba
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted that Manchester United will not sell Paul Pogba this summer despite rumours linking the Frenchman with an exit from Old Trafford.
"I expect him (Pogba) to be here when September 1 comes," said Solskjaer. "If you've got a five-year contract or a one-year contract, when you sign for Man United you have to rise to the challenge of performing on a consistent level."
