The summer transfer window is approaching fast and while the dates for the window have not been announced yet, the Premier League is slated to finish on Sunday, May 23 which may imply that the transfer window is most likely to reopen on Monday, June 1.

Top clubs across Europe are still looking to boost their squad ahead of the new season, and clear out their wage bill as well. With that in mind, here's a look at the latest transfer rumours from around the world.

Fernandes waiting for Pogba contract extension

Bruno Fernandes will reportedly commit his future to Manchester United only if Paul Pogba agrees to do the same.

According to the Daily Mail, who quote the Sun, Fernandes believes the Frenchman is key to United's long-term future and wants to see how his contract situation plays out. Pogba has little over 12 months left on his contract and has been linked with a switch away from Old Trafford, as Real Madrid and Juventus continue to monitor his situation.

Aguero to join Barca if Messi stays

Sergio Aguero will reportedly sign a two-year deal with Barcelona only if Lionel Messi commits his future to club, according to AS.

The striker will leave Manchester City at the end of the current season, and Barca president reportedly want to make the Argentine his statement signing of the summer. However, Aguero wants to see what Messi decides before making the switch to Spain.

Lamela to exit Spurs

Erik Lamela is reportedly set to leave Tottenham in the summer, according to Area Napoli.

The winger could return to Serie A, with Napoli most keen on landing the 29-year-old. Former club Roma have also been credited with an interest in Lamela, who joined Spurs in 2013, but has failed to make more than 20 league starts in a season since 2015-16.

Modric agrees Madrid extension

Luka Modric has reportedly signed a contract extension with Real Madrid, according to the club's president, Florentino Perez.

While the club still need to make an official announcement, Perez told El Larguero: "Modric has signed or [rather] we have reached an agreement. With Modric we have had an agreement for some time."
