The January transfer window is here and rumours continue to grow as clubs monitor their mid-season and the upcoming summer window's targets.
Some big names could be on the move in the coming few months, and we're here to keep you posted on the latest transfer rumours.
With that, here are the top transfer rumours of the day.
City interested in Alvarez
Manchester City are reportedly close to making a move for River Plate striker Julian Alvarez, according to Goal.
The 21-year-old is contracted to the Argentine club until December 2022, and has a release clause of around £15m-£17m. Pep Guardiola is still looking to replace Sergio Aguero who left last summer and has been a huge fan of Alvarez for a while.
United out of Haaland race
Manchester United have reportedly dropped out of the race to sign Erling Haaland, according to ESPN.
The Red Devils were linked to the Borussia Dortmund star for a while, but are reportedly considering other targets after being informed that Haaland is keen on switching to Real Madrid this summer.
Oscar confirms Barca talks
Former Chelsea star Oscar has confirmed that his representatives have held discussions with Barcelona over a possible transfer.
He told TNT Sports: "Yeah, this came to my knowledge. Barcelona reached out to my agent to know about this possibility, they knew football in China will stop until March. So maybe, but Barca is facing a difficult time now.”
