The summer transfer window is already heating up as managers eye new recruits to beef up their squads. Harry Kane is still intent on leaving Tottenham, with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea are all interested.
Real Madrid have filled their vacant managerial spot by bringing back Carlo Ancelotti, who spent the last season with Everton.
Liverpool have already made their move in the market by signing RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate, and will be looking to bring in a few more reinforcements too.
With that, here are the top transfer rumours of the day.
Man United target Soyuncu
Manchester United are reportedly set to begin talks with Leicester over a potential transfer deal for Caglar Soyuncu, according to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur.
"Continuing their search for a stopper, Manchester United have put Caglar Soguncu (sic) on the transfer list,” he said on Twitter. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on bringing in a partner for Harry Maguire, and could raid the England defender's former club for another defender.
PSG join race for Trippier
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race for Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Tripper.
The 30-year-old is one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's top targets this summer, and according to Mundo Deportivo, they will have to fend off interest from PSG, who are considering reuniting Trippier with Mauricio Pochettino at the Parc des Princes. The report claims that PSG will be able to meet Atletico's valuation of the player - £43million - who still has two years left on the current deal.
Pogba open to Madrid move
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is reportedly desperate to secure a move to Real Madrid, and "would be delighted to move to Real Madrid", according to AS via Sport Witness.
The Frenchman is currently set to leave the club next summer due to his Old Trafford contract expiring in 12 months' time. Pogba has previously voiced his desire to move to Los Blancos, and remains keen on the switch even though Zinedine Zidane has now left as head coach.
Man United urged to sign Varane
Manchester United legend Nicky Butt has insisted that his former club should drop their pursuit of West Ham's Declan Rice and instead focus on bringing in Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.
“For me, next season has to be about getting some silverware back in that trophy cabinet,” said Butt. "Everyone talks about Raphael Varane. I understand he's a little bit older than most people would perhaps like, but you just have to go back to the days of Teddy Sheringham. I think we bought him when he was 32, and we went and won the treble with him. If Varane is available, then I'd go all out for him.”
