Less than two weeks left in the January transfer window, but apart from rumours, there haven't been too many big-name signings yet. The financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic is clearly having an effect on transfers, but deals are still expected to happen this month.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly running out of patience with on-loan star Gareth Bale. Last week, it was reported that Bale might not be handed a second season at Tottenham, and a recent video released by the club could explain why. The club's official channel, SpursTV, broadcast a video that showed Mourinho complaining about Bale, exclaiming: "You want to stay here? Or go to Real Madrid and play no football?"

It’s not clear Mourinho said this to Bale, but the Daily Mail report (as claimed by the Sun), that the Portuguese was talking to his No 2 Joao Sacramento and other backroom staff.

Here's a look at some of the top transfer rumours of the day from the best sources possible. We will also provide a rating to these transfer rumours, giving our opinion on how likely a particular rumour is to become a reality.

Chelsea are reportedly planning a club-record bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, according to The Athletic.

Chelsea have identified Haaland as a priority target with Frank Lampard eager to add a top forward to his squad. The Norway international has a €75 million release clause in his current contract, but it doesn't become active until 2022.

Depay and Aouar want to play for a top-three club

Lyon star Memphis Depay has claimed that he and his teammate Houssem Aouar want to join "one of the top three clubs in the world" and believes the move will make him "10 times better".

The Dutch international has been a long-term Barcelona target and was linked with a move to Camp Nou last summer, but a transfer failed to materialise. Aouar was linked to Arsenal and Juventus, but no serious bids arrived for him either.

Juventus and Spurs chase Di Maria

Juventus and Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Angel Di Maria from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. The Argentine's deal expires at the end of the current season, and suggestions are that he will be open to a move elsewhere.

According to Don Balon, Jose Mourinho is keen on reuniting with his former player, who thrived under the experienced manager at Real Madrid. Di Maria has previously been targeted by the Serie A giants, and Andrea Pirlo's side are back in the market for the player.
