The summer transfer window is approaching fast and while the dates for the window have not been announced yet, the Premier League is slated to finish on Sunday, May 23 which may imply that the transfer window is most likely to reopen on Monday, June 1.

Top clubs across Europe are still looking to boost their squad ahead of the new season, and clear out their wage bill as well. With that in mind, here's a look at the latest transfer rumours from around the world.

Laporta confident on Messi future

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has insisted that everything is progressing "smoothly" between Lionel Messi and the club, and that the Argentine will sign a contract renewal before the season ends.

He told Deportes Cuatro: "Everything is progressing adequately. I will do everything within the club's capabilities to get him to stay. That's what we're doing. Messi is motivated. He is an extraordinary person and I am convinced that he will want to continue at Barca."

Chelsea want Bellingham

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham and are considering making an eye-watering £100million offer for him in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to Eurosport, Thomas Tuchel's side are considering making a big-money offer for Bellingham in the summer. The 17-year-old joined Dortmund in a £25million deal from Birmingham, and has emerged as one of the most sought-after youngsters in Europe after his performances this season.

Arsenal target Camavinga

Arsenal have reportedly set their sights on Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga as a transfer target, according to Marca.
The 18-year-old has refused to sign a contract extension with Rennes and will be on the move once his contract expires in 2022. Real Madrid and Manchester United have also been linked with Camavinga, who is reportedly being valued at around £45 million.

Man United eye Fofana

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana, according to Foot Mercato.
The report claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are huge fans of the centre-back, who has proven to be a huge hit at the King Power Stadium since his arrival from St Etienne last October. However, the 20-year-old is contracted to the Foxes through 2025, and they will likely demand hefty fee to part with him.
