The January transfer window is here and rumours continue to grow as clubs monitor their mid-season and the upcoming summer window's targets.

Some big names could be on the move in the coming few months, and we're here to keep you posted on the latest transfer rumours.

With that, here are the top transfer rumours of the day.

Benzema to leave Madrid if Haaland joins

Karim Benzema will reportedly leave Real Madrid if the club signs Erling Haaland in the summer, according to El Nacional.

Los Blancos have been long-term admirers of the 22-year-old and have been tipped to make a move for him once the current season ends. The report adds that if Madrid sign Kylian Mbappe, Benzema will not push for an exit since he has a good understanding with his French team-mate.

Man Utd monitor Araujo

Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo, according to SPORT.

The report claims that United have contacted the 22-year-old representatives. The defender, who has 18 months left on his current deal, is pushing for a more lucrative contract, but cash-strapped Barca are not in a position to offer him what he wants, and might be open to letting him leave in the summer rather than lose him for free next year.

Fernandes puts contract talks on hold

Bruno Fernandes has reportedly put contract talks with Manchester United on hold, according to The Athletic.

The midfielder is tied to the Red Devils until 2025, but the club are trying to tie him down for a longer time. The Portuguese wants to hold out to see the direction in which the team is heading and is also seeking parity with the club's biggest earning stars.
