The January transfer window looms large and rumours continue to grow as clubs monitor their mid-season and next summer's targets.

Some big names could be on the move in the coming few months, and we're here to keep you posted on the latest transfer rumours.

With that, here are the top transfer rumours of the day.

Alves returns to Barcelona

Barça, who hailed Alves as the best right back in their history in an official statement, confirmed that Alves will begin training with the first team next week, but cannot be registered until January.

Ancelotti wants Bale out

Carlo Ancelotti reportedly wants Gareth Bale out of Real Madrid, according to El Nacional.

The report claims that the Los Blancos coach believes playing for Madrid is not one of Bale’s top priorities and has told the club's president, Florentino Perez, to either sell or release him in the upcoming transfer window.

City to revive Kane interest

Manchester City are reportedly planning to revive their interest in Tottenham striker Harry Kane in January, according to ESPN.

Kane pushed for a move to City during the summer, but Spurs refused to sell the 28-year-old. Club chairman Daniel Levy has assured new boss Antonio Conte that Kane will stay on at the club, but a fresh bid from City may prompt him to change his mind.
