Transfer Rumours 09/01: Ronaldo holds crisis talks with Man United, Mbappe's PSG renewal still on cards

The January transfer window is here and rumours continue to grow as clubs monitor their mid-season and the upcoming summer window's targets.
Some big names could be on the move in the coming few months, and we're here to keep you posted on the latest transfer rumours.
With that, here are the top transfer rumours of the day.
Ronaldo holds crisis talks with Man United
Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly held crisis talks with Manchester United over his future, according to the Sun.
The report claims that the striker is unhappy with the current situation at the club and is afraid his comeback might not be the one he had envisioned. United are currently placed seventh on the Premier League table, 22 points off Manchester City who are first, and four points behind Arsenal, who occupy the coveted fourth spot.
Mbappe's PSG renewal still on cards
Kylian Mbappe could still renew his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, according to Le Parisien.
The 22-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has been widely tipped to join Real Madrid. The Frenchman has, so far, refused to put pen to paper on a new deal, but there's still a chance he could make a u-turn on his decision and stay on at the Parc des Princes.
Fernandes responds to Barca links
Bruno Fernandes has shut down rumours linking him with a move to Barcelona, calling the links as "bad journalism".
The 27-year-old has been struggling from a dip in form, scoring just once in his last 14 Premier League games and reports have claimed that he is one of the players who are unhappy with the current situation at United. However, Fernandes has come out to set the record straight in a direct response to the post on Instagram, telling his followers: "And I thought the new year only started a few days ago, yet we’re already on April 1! Or is this once again just bad journalism?"
