The summer transfer window is approaching fast and while the dates for the window have not been announced yet, the Premier League is slated to finish on Sunday, May 23 which may imply that the transfer window is most likely to reopen on Monday, June 1.

Top clubs across Europe are still looking to boost their squad ahead of the new season, and clear out their wage bill as well. With that in mind, here's a look at the latest transfer rumours from around the world.

Barca want Neymar for free

Barcelona are reportedly wanting to bring Neymar back to Camp Nou but only once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in 2022.

Neymar was expected to sign a new PSG deal before the upcoming summer window, but according to Mundo Deportivo, negotiations have been put on hold and a sensational return to Barcelona could be a possibility. The report goes on to claim that the 27-year-old is keen to return and play alongside Lionel Messi, who he believes will not leave the club once the on-going season ends.

Boateng to leave Bayern

Jerome Boateng is reportedly set to leave Bayern Munich this summer, according to Kicker.

The report states that the club have decided to not offer him a new contract extension as the Bavarians are looking to bring in younger defensive reinforcements, following Dayot Upamecano's impending arrival from RB Leipzig.

Guardiola refuses to rule out big-name signing

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has refused to rule signing an expensive player during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Premier League table toppers have been linked with moves for Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku, and Guardiola admitted that City would consider spending big money on bringing the right player in.

Arsenal plan offer for Hakimi

Arsenal are reportedly planning to submit an offer for Inter defender Achraf Hakimi, according to AS.

The Gunners consider the 22-year-old a potential replacement for Hector Bellerin, who could depart for Barcelona. Inter might be willing to sell Hakimi if they receive a bid within the region of £43m this summer.
