The summer window may have shut, but the air is still thick with transfer rumours as clubs continue to monitor targets, already looking forward to the January window.

Some big names, including Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland could be on the move in the coming few months, and we're here to keep you posted on the latest transfer rumours.

With that, here are the top transfer rumours of the day.

Barcelona target Sterling

Barcelona have reportedly identified Manchester City star Raheem Sterling as a potential transfer target, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 26-year-old has less than two years left on his contract at the Etihad and has fallen down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola, which could prompt him to look for a move away.

Mbappe wanted to leave PSG

Kylian Mbappe has revealed that he wanted to leave Paris Saint-Germain in July after links to Real Madrid emerged.

The France international told RMC Sport: "People said I turned down six or seven extension offers, that I don't want to talk to Leonardo anymore, that's absolutely not true. I asked to leave, because from the moment I did not want to extend, I wanted the club to have a transfer fee to be able to sign a quality replacement. I said, 'if you don't don't want me to leave, I will stay'."

Inter keen on Alonso

Inter are reportedly still keen on signing Marcos Alonso, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Spaniard has found new life under Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge this season, but reports claim that the Serie A champions are looking to lure him to Italy in the upcoming transfer windows.

Real Madrid interested in Rudiger

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger, according to Calcio Mercato.

The Germany international will be free to negotiate a pre-contract with any interested parties in January, unless he signs an extension with the Blues before the turn of the year.
