Tottenham Hotspur manager, Nuno Espirito Santo has revealed that he expects star striker, Harry Kane to “get ready and help the team” after the England international was left out of the squad during their 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
Kane was left out of the squad to face City by Santo after returning to group training only on Friday, though he was in attendance at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium for the game. The Spurs manager for his part expects the striker to join the squad as soon as he is ready.
“Harry is one of the best players in the world, so we are very lucky to have him. He has to get ready and help the team. We still have to go to Portugal [to play Pacos Ferreira in the Europa League on Thursday] and then we think about Wolves [on Sunday]. Harry worked this morning, is preparing himself and when he is ready he will join the group and help the team," he said post the game.
The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to City, who are reportedly prepared to offer Tottenham's £127million asking price for the striker. However, it is understood that the north London outfit are not keen to let him go, having already turned down £100m offer from City.
