Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski finished the calendar year (January to December) 2021 as the top scorer for club and country in European football.

This is the third consecutive calendar year in which the Polish hitman has achieved this feat.

Lewandowski scored an incredible 69 goals in 2021, matching Cristiano Ronaldo's record from 2013, however, this record is still way behind Lionel Messi's insane 91 goal year in 2012.
