Manchester United superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo recently found himself as a source of controversy after he was seen expressing his frustration on the sidelines after being substituted in the second half during the Red Devils 3-1 win over Brentford in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Rangnick took the decision to bring Ronaldo off for Harry Maguire with the Reds two goals to the good against Brentford, though the striker did not seem to think so as he was pictured muttering "Why me? Why me ... Why would you take me off? as he trudged off the pitch before throwing his jacket to the floor.

However, this is not the first time that the 36-year-old has expressed his frustration on being substituted as it happened during his time with Juventus, when he was brought off by then manager, Andrea Pirlo in a game against Inter Milan.

“There is no contract clause that says he can’t be subbed off. He knows he is a fundamental player for us but to get his breath back, he must always be at the top," he said after the game last February.

Despite this, there has been no doubt that Ronaldo has enjoyed a brilliant return to Old Trafford, scoring 14 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions so far and he will be looking to ensure that United qualify for the Champions League at the bare minimum.
