Former Real Madrid skipper and new Paris Saint-Germain signing, Sergio Ramos took to social networking site, Instagram to welcome another new signing in Lionel Messi to Paris, putting aside the rivalry the duo shared during their time in Spain.

PSG completed arguably the biggest signing in the history of the sport after they managed to convince the record six-time Ballon d'Or award winner to join them, with the striker signing a two-year deal, with the option of extending it for another year.

Messi's arrival to Paris means that he joins Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in a fearsome front-three, which would be devastating if they click. Ramos, who himself joined PSG on a free transfers from Madrid, choose to put his rivalry with the former Barcelona star aside and has welcomed him at their new club.

He posted a picture of two PSG shirts with their names side by side on Instagram, with the caption: "Who was going to tell us, right @leomessi? Welcome!"

The Argentinian who is widely considered as the greatest player in the history of the sport, reiterated that one of the main reasons why he decided to move to PSG was because their ambitions to win the Champions League align with his.

His arrival makes the Ligue 1 outfit the automatic favourites to win their maiden Champions League trophy this season.
