Real Madrid could dip into the transfer market to sign an attacker as Luka Jovic's return to Eintracht Frankfurt on a six-month loan has left the LaLiga champions short of options in that position.

Los Blancos signed Jovic from Benfica in the 2019, and the now 23-year-old attacker was expected to be a source of goals for the Spanish giants. However, he struggled to live up to the expectations and, as a result, fell down the pecking order.

AS claim that while Real Madrid's plan to lure Erling Haaland and/or Kylian Mbappe to the club in the summer of 2021 remains intact, Zidane will require cover for Benzema, who has been one of their best players this season.

The Spanish outlet has named a number of players as Real Madrid's attacking options, including Manchester City's Sergio Aguero, Chelsea's Olivier Giroud and Napoli's Arkadiusz Milik.

Aguero's contract with Man City expires in the summer, and Real Madrid could look to land a deal for the Argentine, who played for Atletico Madrid in the past.

Giroud too sees his contract with Chelsea expire at the end of the season, and the Frenchman, who has proven to be a good backup option at the Premier League side this season, could also an attacker Real Madrid could try to sign.

Arkadiusz Milik has been linked with an exit from Napoli, and the defending LaLiga champions could also look to sign the attacker, but a host of other clubs are also reportedly interested in signing him.

However, it remains to be seen if Real Madrid will sign any attacker during the transfer window, and if they choose to do, it will be interesting to see who the player will be.
