Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay Handed Barcelona Squad Numbers While Lionel Messi's No. 10 Remains Vacant

Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay have been handed their Barcelona squad numbers for the upcoming season, while Lionel Messi's No 10 shirt still remains up for grabs.

It was announced earlier this week that the six-time Ballon d'Or winner would officially be leaving Camp Nou as the club cannot afford to offer him a new contract owing to financial difficulties.

The club have, however, brought in a number of new faces, who could feature against Juventus in the Joan Gamper Trophy on Sunday. Depay, who joined as a free agent from Lyon, has been given the No 9 jersey, while former Manchester City star Aguero, who had been hoping to line up alongside fellow countryman Messi, will wear the No 19 shirt.

Riqui Puig now has the No 6 jersey, while Martin Braithwaite and Ansu Fati hae been handed the No 12 and No 17 shirts, respectively.

The only notable number that hasn't been handed out yet is Messi's iconic No 10 shirt, and it remains to be seen who, if anyone at all, is given the number this season.
