India will face Nepal in the final of the SAFF Championship on Saturday in Maldives.
After an awful start to the tournament, the Blue Tigers came up with clutch wins over Nepal and Maldives in order to make it to the final.
The seven time SAFF Championship winners will now face their neighbours Nepal, who have been in great form in the tournament.
Nepal beat Maldives 1-0 before beating Sri Lanka 3-2. They then lost to India, which meant they had to play a do-or-die game against Bangladesh.
They were trailing until the final minutes of the game saw Anjan Bista earn them a draw and qualification to the final.
They will now face India in a clash that will kick-off at 8:30pm IST on October 16.
Where to watch the game?
The final will be broadcast live on Eurosport SD and HD channels in India and can be seen online on discovery+ and Jio TV.
Sunil Chhetri will be gunning for the top goalscorer of the tournament award and Manvir Singh's role to help Chhetri achieve that will be interesting to see.
India need to be defensively more compact in order to claim glory. They won't be getting open spaces against Nepal that they got against Maldives.
The Blue Tigers will be without Subhasish Bose and Brandon Fernandes due to a suspension and injury respectively.
Igor Stimac too has been suspended from touchline duties for this game.
